BRANDS OF PARTS WE USE
What type of parts do you use in rebuilding your engines? We use all brand name parts exclusively in each of our rebuilt
engines. We are happy to provide you with a list of materials detailing the
manufacturers and part numbers used to produce our engines.
Some common name brands include, but are not limited to, ACL, AJ USA, Clevite, Corteco, Engine Tech, Federal Mogul, Fel Pro, Goodson, Hastings, K-Line, Melling, Pioneer, SBI, Sealed Power, Silver Seal, Silvolite, Topline,
and Victor Reinz.
OUR HAND BUILT PROCESS
How do you rebuild your engines? All of our engines are build by hand
by highly specialized technicians, many having been working for our
company for over 20 years.
WHAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM AFTER REBUILDING
What if I have a problem with your rebuilt
engine? Most websites are resellers of the product, meaning they have no
working knowledge of the product and possess only basic sales oriented
information about what they offer. Many times you can’t even talk to the
people who actually do the work on the engine assembly or cylinder head
you just purchased online. If it's a catastrophic failure, many will
make you take the engine out and ship it back at your expense. If they
determine (after how many weeks?) they won’t warranty it, then you'll
get nothing other than the freight bill you paid to ship the scrap back
to them.
At National Cylinder Head Exchange, you will get immediate
attention from the people who built it; not some sales guy running a
sales desk on email. We will pick up the engine in question, anywhere in
the state of Florida, the same day
if you call us in the morning or the next day if you call us during the
afternoon.
CORE
What happens if the core that I send in isn't the
same as what I ordered? No one we know of, ourselves included, will
issue credit in that case. To do so would soon deplete the industry of
reusable cylinder heads and engines which would drive up prices for
engine and cylinder head assemblies.
CORE DAMAGE
What happens if there is damage to the core I send?
We do charge for non-usable castings, but only for the individual
component itself and no the entire engine or cylinder head. In the case
of a broken crankshaft for example, we charge for that engine component
but you will still receive credit for the block, connecting rods and
cylinder heads.
Credit for damaged parts will be received within 2 days from
receipt of the part, not weeks later.
FREIGHT PAYMENTS
Who pays the freight to ship the engine back? We quote freight included on rebuilt engines being shipped in
the state of
Florida
.
The Florida Keys and upper
Panhandle incur an additional shipping charge, and therefore shipping is
slightly more.
Shipping charges change frequently, but they are generally around
$82.00 (as of 5/25/2007) throughout the state of Florida, except the
Florida Keys and upper Panhandle.
OUR WARRANTY
What kind of warranty comes with the National Cylinder Head Exchange
rebuilt engine?
All of our products come with a full warranty. We warranty all our
passenger car and light truck (up to 3/4 ton) rebuilt engines for
three years. There is no limit on miles with our warranty.
Please call for details on our 5 year / 100,000 mile warranty on
rebuilt engines for statewide governmental agencies.
The customer is responsible for getting the engine to our shop for
warranty work, however our shop will handle tear down, inspection,
and assessment within four hours of arrival. Our warranty repairs
are low, so we are able to help correct any problems very quickly.
Our warranty is on the rebuilt engines themselves, not just for the
original customer. |
